Several limited factory warranties cover your new Lincoln. These warranties protect your investment against any unforeseen issues with your car. In addition, you have several options to extend this protection if you choose. As your Lincoln dealer in Detroit, MI, we want to tell you more about what is included in your car warranty and about your extended warranty options.

Standard Warranties

Your Lincoln automatically comes with at least five warranties. Let’s dive into what these warranties are and what they protect.

New Car Limited Warranty

This warranty protects all your vehicle components against the unlikely possibility of a defect in materials or manufacturing. It covers the first three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. If there is a factory-related issue, it will be repaired free of charge within this period.

Powertrain Warranty

This warranty focuses on your engine, transmission, and drivetrain. It protects all the components in these systems against any defector for the first five years or 60,000 miles.

Corrosion Warranty

The corrosion warranty protects your car body against rust perforation, which is rust that eats through metal from one side to the other. This warranty is applicable for the first five years and unlimited mileage.

Safety Restraint Warranty

This warranty focuses on your safety belts and airbags. It applies for five years or 60,000 miles, whichever happens first. Any problems with these systems will be repaired if they’re covered by the warranty.

Power Stroke Diesel Warranty

This warranty applies only to diesel-powered vehicles and protects the engine against any problems for five years or 100,000 miles.

Hybrid/Electric Components Warranty

If you have a hybrid or fully electric engine, this warranty protects the unique components in either of these engines for eight years or 100,000 miles.

Extended Warranties

Lincoln’s extended warranty plans are also known as extended service plans. You can choose from several plans to choose from, and you can also choose the plan’s term length and the amount of your deductible.

PowertrainCARE

This extended warranty protects 29 components in your engine, transmission, and drivetrain. Like all of the extended warranties, it takes effect as soon as your original warranty expires. This ensures that you have continuous coverage for the length of the warranty.

BaseCARE

This warranty protects 84 components, including all components covered by the warranty above. It extends coverage to the steering system, AC and heating, electrical system, brakes, and front suspension.

ExtraCARE

This warranty covers 113 components, which adds protection for your car’s high-tech systems to everything covered by the previous two warranties.

PremiumCARE

As the highest-level plan, over 1,000 components are protected by this plan for a maximum of eight years or 150,000 miles.
