1. Chandler Park Golf Course

Chandler Park Golf Course can be found in central Detroit at 12801 Chandler Park Drive. This is an 18-hole regulation-length municipal golf course open to players of all skill levels. Outfitted with lush grass, this 69 par course includes 5,928 yards of golf fairways with a 109 slope. This course was first opened in 1929, this course is recognized as one of the best “Women Friendly Courses” in the state. 

2. Belle Isle Golf Course

Settled on the lovely Belle Isle island park in Detroit, the Belle Isle Golf Course is a small course perfect for children and quick afternoon games. You can find this course at 175 Lakeside right on the island. This historic public course was first opened in 1922 and features six holes for a three-par game. Guests can access the driving range, practice area, and putt course every day of the week. 

3. Rouge Park Golf Course

Rouge Park Golf Course, located at 11701 Burt Road, is another historic public course in Detroit. This course was first opened in 1924 and has remained one of the most beloved courses in the city ever since. Rouge Park Golf Course is a regulation-length 18-hole course with a 72 par, 121 slope, and roughly 6,262 yards of golf greens. 

4. Dearborn Country Club

Not too far from central Detroit, you can find Dearborn Country Club at 800 North Military Street in Dearborn. This private golf course is only accessible to Dearborn Country Club members. First opened in 1925, this private course has been one of the most sophisticated courses in the area for decades. With a slope rating of 131, a 72 par game, and 6,787 yards of Bent grass fairways, this course is perfect for seasoned golfers. 

After your golf game, you can access the many country club amenities at this suburban course, such as the patio lounge, dining room, and fitness areas. This club even supports a junior golf program. 

5. Detroit Golf Club

For serious golfers, there are no better courses than those at the Detroit Golf Club, which is located at 17911 Hamilton Road. As one of the oldest golf clubs in the city, this 1899 18-hole course has an ideal, classic layout on Bermuda grass. This private course is 6,837 yards with a slope rating of 134 and a par of 72.
