Civic Youth Ensembles: Civic Jazz Live

This spring, Detroit’s Civic Youth Ensembles is proud to announce that their Civic Jazz Live event will be the opening act for the highly anticipated Monterey Jazz Festival. This event takes place at the Peter D. and Julie F. Cummings Cube – Orchestra Hall, located at 3711 Woodward Avenue, on April 23 at 7 p.m. The Civic Jazz Live event is a celebration of jazz music featuring some of the most talented young musicians in the country. 

It’s one of the many programs offered by Civic Youth Ensembles to help develop and nurture musical talent in young people. This year’s concert promises to be an unforgettable evening of diverse jazz styles ranging from traditional swing to contemporary fusion. The Peter D. and Julie F. Cummings Cube – Orchestra Hall is one of Detroit’s premier venues for live entertainment, offering state-of-the-art acoustics and a stunning architectural design that provides an immersive experience for audiences.

Rock Out with Blink 182

Blink 182 is coming to Little Caesars Arena this spring, and fans in Detroit couldn’t be more excited. The iconic pop-punk band will take the stage on May 9 at 7:30 p.m., promising an unforgettable night of music and energy. This is a rare opportunity for Detroit music lovers to experience the electrifying performance of Blink 182 in person.

The show promises to be a celebration of the band’s greatest hits, including classics like “All the Small Things,” “What’s My Age Again,” and “Adam’s Song.” Fans can expect an explosive performance from Travis Barker on drums, Mark Hoppus on bass guitar, and Matt Skiba as lead vocals and guitarist.
