The 2022 Lincoln Aviator was crafted to suit all types of SUV drivers. It boasts a stylish exterior, potent powertrain options, top-tier safety technology, and the latest infotainment and connectivity features. Here are some of the most important details about this new car.

1. Exterior and Interior

The 2022 Aviator comes in five trims: Black Label, Standard, Grand Touring, Reserve, and Grand Touring Black Label. Its length, height, and overall width with mirrors measure 199.3, 69.6, and 89.9 inches, respectively. It also comes in multiple exterior color paint options, including asher gray metallic clearcoat, bronze smoke metallic clearcoat, pristine white metallic tri-coat, infinite black metallic clearcoat, and more.

Depending on the model of choice, the new Aviator offers a seating capacity of six or seven passengers. Interior features include an electric power steering, keyless ignition, universal remote transmitter, air filtration, and four-zone climate control.

2. Powertrain Options

Under the hood, you get a base 3-liter V6 Gas engine that delivers 400 hp and 415 lb. feet of torque. There’s also a 3-liter twin-turbo V6 that works with an electric motor to produce a combined 494 hp and 630 lb. feet of torque. The fuel efficiency of the base engine is 18/ 26 mpg city/highway while working with a rear-wheel drive. On all-wheel-drive models, the fuel economy rates 17/ 24 mpg city/highway.

The plug-in-hybrid offers a rating of 56 mpg-equivalent in joint city/highway driving when using an EV mode and 23 mpg when using hybrid mode.

3. Infotainment and Connectivity

The all-new Aviator works hard to provide modern infotainment and connectivity features to keep you entertained while driving. Most trims feature a 10.1-inch display system, compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, four USB ports, a SiriusXM Satellite Radio with a three-month prepaid subscription, Bluetooth connection, Lincoln premium auto system with ten speakers, and a WIFI hotspot.

Premium trims feature a 14- or 28-speaker Revel premium sound, navigation, wireless charging pad, and a rear-seat entertainment system with two 10-inch displays.

4. Driver-Assistance features

Your newest Aviator offers numerous standard driver-help features to keep you safe during trips. They include a rearview camera, blind spot monitoring, front and rear parking sensors, pedestrian detection, lane keep assist, and auto high-beam headlights. Automatic emergency braking identifies when a possible crash is about to happen and responds by activating the brakes to slow or stop a vehicle to avoid a collision.
