The 2022 Corsair comes with extra optional packages to customize your SUV. Three paint colors, Bronze Smoke Metallic, Elite Blue Metallic, and Ocean Drive Blue Metallic, are new to the available options. The colors replace Iced Mocha, Artisan Blue, and Burgundy Velvet.

Trim Options

Buyers have the choice of three trim levels: the Standard, the Reserve, and the Grand Touring. From the Standard trim onwards, each 2022 Corsair is packed with high-end features, equipment, and technology.

Gas Engine Options

The 2022 Corsair comes with a range of powerful engine options. The base engine is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that produces a zippy 250 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. Buyers have the option to upgrade to a beasty 280-horsepower, 2.3-liter, four-cylinder turbo. Both engines are paired with an eight-speed select-shift automatic transmission. You can drive this automatic as if it were a manual.

Grand Touring Hybrid

The Grand Touring trim is available exclusively with a hybrid engine. An intercooled turbocharged engine is paired with electric motors to produce 266 horsepower. Remember, the electric motors of a hybrid engine allow immediate motion to deliver more power than is expected.

Drivetrain Availability

The smallest of the gas-powered engine variants of the 2022 Corsair is available as front-wheel-drive SUVs with the option of all-wheel drive. The larger gas-powered turbo and the hybrid turbo Corsair variants are exclusively available as all-wheel-drive models.

Drive, Ride, and Interior

The 2022 Corsair is a capable performer around town or on the highway. The steering is responsive when taking on tight corners and when changing lanes at higher speeds. Active dampers can be set to Excite Mode to keep the vehicle from being a victim of body roll and keep the driver and passengers comfortable on a variety of road surfaces. The Reserve model gets a Revel 14-speaker premium sound system with SiriusXM satellite radio.

All models of the 2022 Corsair come with a full suite of driver-assistance technologies. Standard features include automatic emergency braking and lane departure. The optional Co-Pilot 360 technology package unleashes a host of other driver-assistance technologies, including adaptive cruise control.
