You don’t have to leave Detroit, MI, to find world-class cuisine. Commemorate a special occasion or enjoy a night of glamour at one of the city’s most elegant steakhouses.

This restaurant serves dinner from 4 to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 4 to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 4 to 9 p.m. on Sunday. You can enjoy the lunch menu on weekends from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Le Supreme also has valet service for your Lincoln Navigator.

2. Caucus Club

Choose Caucus Club if you’re looking for elegant, retro-inspired vibes. Business casual dress is required. The dinner menu includes a tantalizing selection of wood-fired steaks and chops, including New York strip, porterhouse, filet mignon, T-bone, and the butcher’s reserve cut. You can also order a 2-pound Tomahawk ribeye chop from Creekstone Farms. Enhance your steak with finishing sauces, compound butter, or seared foie gras.

Caucus Club is located at 150 W Congress St in the Penobscot Building. Visit for dinner service from Monday through Thursday from 4 to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 4 to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 4 to 9 p.m.

3. London Chop House

Enjoy the ambiance of a classic English chop house right here in Detroit, at 155 W Congress St in the Murphy Telegraph Building. Start your meal with sauteed beef tips, crab bisque, or caviar service. Choose from entrees such as the Australian Wagyu New York Strip, dry-aged boneless ribeye, or filet mignon, all finished with garlic butter. You can add bearnaise, chimichurri, or au poivre sauce.

Sides included sauteed shrimp and smashed potato with roasted garlic cream. London Chop House serves dinner Monday through Saturday from 4 to 10 p.m.

4. Prime + Proper

Specializing in wood-fired steak, Prime + Proper is located in the Capitol Park Lofts at 1145 Griswold St. The menu features both USDA prime cuts and rare cuts like a Nashville whiskey-aged cowboy ribeye. You can also order from the raw bar or enjoy seafood entrees like lobster risotto. Prime + Primer is open Monday through Thursday from 5 to 10 p.m., Friday from 5 to 11 p.m., Saturday from 4 to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 4 to 10 p.m.
