Here at Bob Maxey Lincoln, we are excited for what the future holds! We are calling all Detroit and Saint Claire Shores drivers to get excited with all Lincoln will be offering very soon! Lincoln has confirmed that a new compact crossover SUV called the Corsair will replace the existing MKC. We will still be carrying MKC models for you to enjoy as well if they feel more suitable for your driving style. Based on the next-generation Ford Escape, the Corsair is expected to offer a turbocharged four-cylinder as standard and a plug-in hybrid option.

The 2020 Corsair is expected to make its official debut at the New York auto show before going on sale later this year. The new name speaks true to Lincolns known nautical and aeronautical connections like the Navigator, Aviator and Nautilus SUVs. The MKZ and MKT will be the only remaining Mk-named cars.

The 2020 Lincoln Corsair will share its underpinnings with the Ford Escape. The front end is looking to be designed very similar to the Lincoln Aviators. Swept-back headlights and a squared-off front grille with a prominent Lincoln logo are also expected. The Corsair is looking to be longer than the MKC, suggesting it will have more length compared to its predecessor. Full-width taillights will also add to its new design.

The 2020 Corsair will compete with European luxury SUVs including the Audi Q5, BMW X3, and the Mercedes-Benz GLC-class. It is likely that the MKC's turbocharged 2.0-liter and 2.3-liter four-cylinder engines are likely to carry over with few changes, the major difference is the offered plug-in-hybrid version.

The 2020 Lincoln Corsair is making a bold entrance. If you've been waiting for a new SUV to arrive you are in luck. We hope to see the new Corsair models soon near Roseville, Warren, and Grosse Pointe. We'll keep you posted on its debut!
