Lincoln MKZ vs. Cadillac XTS

  • The MKZ offers three engine options while the Cadillac only offers two that you can choose from. Both models in the Cadillac lineup are 3.6-liter V6 options with the base engine outputting 304 horsepower and 264 pound-feet of torque. The Lincoln's comparable V6 delivers more horsepower and torque than the 3.6-liter V6.
  •
  • The Cadillac XTS does offer a 3.6-liter twin-turbo engine that outputs 410 horsepower and 369 pound-feet but even that doesn't match the torque output of the twin-turbocharged V6 in the MKZ (400).
  •
  • For fuel-conscious drivers, the Lincoln MKZ lineup offers a hybrid engine option that manages 41 mpg in the city and 38 mpg on the highway. The Cadillac has nothing that even comes close to these numbers.

  • Both sedans are roomy and luxurious but the Lincoln MKZ offers significantly more front legroom for its passengers than the Cadillac XTS.
  •
  • The impressive SYNC® 3 system is paired with the Lincoln Premium Audio System and 11 speakers. The Cadillac uses a Bose® premium eight-speaker audio system which doesn't quite match the output of the Lincoln's system.
  •
  • The Cadillac XTS does offer plenty of safety features that help keep you on the road such as Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning and Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert. However, the Lincoln MKZ offers these features standard and won't cost you extra like the Cadillac.
